I don't have much in the patch but I can live vicariously through others...

One retiree here has a heckuva one going on the 1.32 Rinne and it is starting to turn. Bottom is going red, sides are yellowing. We have eight days and will be riding the rail on getting it landed. I tried to gently get a tape around it and couldn't because of how it's hanging and being supported. It has to be at least 2# which is a major monster for here.

He has not had good health this year and right now he's LIVING for that mater... so we gotta land it.

I know he's tarring my rear but I'll gladly help him all I can to get it there. That's what growing's about, looking at his face when he talks about it, him worrying about it, and the TLC that plant gets. Toe-may-toh or toh-mah-toe, in the end it's the growing that counts!

Look for the 'Smith' entry after our WO....

Good Luck to Smitty !!!

I had to laugh out loud at this one considering the world's largest tomato was grown in Oklahoma:

From the Panhandle, YES. That biggun was grown down on the plain in Edmond OK, that is a totally different place to grow. Not up here in the parched droughty dustbowl where the sun fries....

There's 'Oklahoma' and then there's 'the Panhandle' :D
