anyone use round up weed killer on their gardens i saw a few guys used it on their pumpkin patches im looking for something i can use on a patch of grass and weeds that wont kill the soil before i plant my maters plan on doing it about a month before no tilling just a shovel and turning it over patch is small enough !! thanks pizza

I have used a lot of round up in the past but dont know if its the same in the uk as the states, if it is it dosent kill the soil it is taken in throught the leaves of the plant and then kills the roots and top growth any splash on the soil i beleive nutralises. I normally spray with round up and then when everything dies off clear and dig, i have planted straight after this before and never had any problems
