I am going to be offline for a few weeks and during that time I plan on putting together about ten of what I will post as "Timely Tomato Tips." These will be some new ideas and some old ones of importance I have gotten either from myself or someone else and I will give credit wherever I can. Also I hope that anyone who has strong disagreement with anything I post to say so. No offense will be taken. In fact, I would like to hear other opinions on anything covered. And, disagreement is a good thing as it brings about progress where there is also discussion. Also, if anyone has something not covered, bring it up. We have people here I am sure who can help out. The Tomato Forum should be just that, an educational tool amoung other things. Pizza and Treetop have been more or less holding us together through the off season with much socializing and organizing and seed business. We are coming down the stretch now with seeds poised over growing media and watering can in hand. Let's do it. In about 2 weeks I will begin. If someone else wants to start, do so. Give any good tips you might have. What do you think? Is this a worthwhile venture?

Pizza I am on the road travelling and so only have intermittent use of a computer. I will not be growing the 7.33Hunt as I have no seeds. I will be growing some Delicious though as I have some Hunt 5.0 which was the seed from which the 7.33 was grown. What are the rest of you planning to grow and why? I will grow some Big Zac and some of the seeds from the Timm/Harp group which are offshoots of Big Zac and some Slankard and Brutus Magnum and of course my own seeds MegaMarv and SuperMarv with the hope that they do something great for me this year. Anyone got anything unusual or new and promising?

I started cuttings off my best plant in the fall before frost and have them over wintered in the house now. In a couple weeks I will get some more cuttings off the plants for this years plants. The Harp plant has set some nice fruit on them the last couple weeks so This may turn out OK.

Phil:
I could use a few seeds if you have any left. I am travelling now and have a bad computer and a worse connection. I will get back to you but, if you don't have my address it may be awhile getting it to you. My email address is lubadub@aol.com I have yours but on my computer at home.

Last year I tried starting seeds myself. but they got to leggy, and I just gave up. could you set me on the right path to start seeds myself?
