Lots of plants still inside Pete. 3-4 of the best I'll keep and give the rest away. All nice and healthey and potted up twice. That makes about 24 in total, all my 3.56 which is 3.59 Perry x open.

Going nicely here pizza....I have 53 remaining plants that are in the shazzydome greenhouse getting stronger everyday. Not much sunshine in the past 3 weeks, but the 3 good days of sun last week kicked them in gear. The best 6 will go in around 2 weeks depending on night time temps at that point and avoiding last freeze chance. Plants were started april 2nd. Line up will be 7.33 hunt, 5.35 lyons, 5.18 lyons, 4.25 lyons, 4.04 johnson/butler, and 3.08 shenoha. my parents and some friends will get a few for eaters and the other 40 will be grown by some local heavy tomato hitters and the bobby's tap tomato contest participants. Hoping for some more mega bloom fuzies here this year. I will terminate some plants after megabloom is successully set to try to concentrate energy to tomatoes if it works out right and I have enough substantiated plant at that time.

I still think you guys are all starting way too early. Are your nights going to be warm enough that the first blossoms on your plants will actually be fertilized? Most people are planting based on the last frost date. You should be aiming more toward warm nights. Marv

Maybe I'm going about this all wrong. This year, like last year, I'm aiming for a very large plant with a massive root system by July. I can have my fill of eating tomatoes and leave the best ones for show. By the end of August I pruned mine at @ 7 feet and leave only the largest on each plant. Being indeterminate, the plant should keep growing until frost. What am I missing? Open for suggestions.

I have some early ones that I started for practice that I will put out in a week or so. I will start a few more when I do plant, and then the rest a week or so after that.

I had very poor germination with my Big zac ,but good rates with other varieties.I might try and start a few more and see how they do.

Sometimes the Big Zac is slow to germinate. Don't throw them out yet. Marv

I had some seeds that germinated after 40-50 days in peat pots.Like Marv said, don't toss them yet.
