I have one more possible big one but it probably will not be as big as these. The 6.5 is Delicious and the 6.25 is from Brutus Magnum.

Thanks guys. I really feel so lucky this year. I had several poor years with blight one year and tomato mites another. I thought this year the high temperatures would wipe me out but it looks like it helped. I thank all of you for your kind comments and am busy at this point collecting seeds. I have been sending out Brutus Magnum seeds for years and so many of you already have seeds from this heirloom tomato. Also I have in the past sent out a ton of MegaMarv, another heirloom, and any of you who have these are good to go. Also anyone who has seeds from the Hunts or access to these seeds through friend also have what they need, Delicious, another heirloom tomato. I will try to see that most others can have some of these seeds. I hope I have enough to make everyone happy. The seed counts in beefsteak tomatoes are not high and so the number of seeds per tomato is not quite like a pumpkin. Again, thanks to all. I am so grateful. And what are my techniques? Read the Timely Tips I posted earlier this year. It ain't over till the fat lady sings. I believe there are bigger tomatoes than mine out there somewhere. Marv

I've been squawking (um singing) for months but that hasn't helped. If I might beg for some of those seeds, please, just send an email to debrebel@rocklore.com and I will gladly send bubble for whenever. Thanks!

Just awesome Marv !

The Brutus Magnum fruit seems to have 2 stems ?

Only one stem. I did have several other tomatoes that looked huge but were actually two tomatoes stuck together. A tomato like that is not eligible for any contest.

Marv, I tip my hat to you. I can't imagine anyone who deserves to have a great season more than you especially after what you went through during the past few years. It's great that you did'nt give up and have shown us what you were always capable of growing. Congratulations.
PS. Will I be seeing you at Consiglio's this year? I am thinking about attending.

I am starting to save some seeds now. I hope to have enough to provide most if not all of you with some. If you already have seeds from Delicious, Brutus Magnum or MegaMarv, then you won't really need more as these are heirloom seeds. Be patient and aound December I will call for SASE. I sent out a lot of these seeds last year and so if you are growing them, save some seeds from your tomatoes and you will be set. Marv
