Hi everyone, I just wanted to send out a warning, my late crop of tomatoes contracted late blight earlier this week. It may be a good idea to get a coat of fungicide on if you live anywhere near me. I live in CT. I noticed that the staked tomatoes with strings going from stake to stake were hit the worst. The caged tomatoes fared better and so did the sucker pruned tied to a stake plants. My thinking is that the better air circulation played a big factor in reducing susceptibility. Late blight is no joke, it is not like the other diseases tomatoes can get. It can ruin a crop in no time.

Yes I have some blight that took over a few weeks ago.My maters wont be big this year.Pumpkin fever is to blame.

I did find a mater about 2.5 lbs turning red on the 7.33 Hunt.I packed her in the fridge I hope it keeps 6 weeks.All the plants have blight.My mistake,I let a guy give me a flat of early girls.I planted them for all my canning friends & family.The blight may have come with them?maybe not?I miss my beefsteaks:(
