My biggest tomato this year was 4.5 pounds. The heat was more than I could deal with. Many days in July were over 100 degrees and this combined with drought, despite watering, did me in. Also we had lots of early and some late Blight. What a year. I am now making plans for next year. Drip watering will be part of the plan. What I have now is just not adequate for the weather we had this year. Last year may turn out to be my best year ever.

Thanks for the reminder, I had one starting to turn and was going to pick it. Forgot all about it. I'll have to go back to the patch. It was measuring around 22, but not really tall. We will know this afternoon may be.

I'll be weighing one in a few hours. It measures 20.1" circumferance, formula puts it at around 3.38 lbs. From Church (3.36 Perry 2008). I have 3 or 4 more that have a chance of going big, but very unlikely in the 5 lb. range. In the past, most of my bigger ones come off the vine in October.

No Monsters here. Our best was a 4# 5.25oz. We have lots of 3#+ maters, but nothing bigger than our earlier one.

Good luck all,
Jane & Phil
