Just curious if anyone has any Idea on how many combined blooms are in this massive Mega Bloom I've found in the Patch this afternoon. My best guesstimation is 9? Then I thought I counted 13? The pictures don't do it any justice in it's size. I also know I really need to wait and see what it does and count the points on the bottom and sides. Or if anyone can tell me the correct way to ctry and count them. I know you look for the individual buds (If Possible). Thanks for any response!!

nice photos Joseph, it's my first year growing so I don't have much to add but I think I may have had a couple blooms close to this size but I have no idea how to count them.

Impressive Joseph!

As the others have stated, it's extremely difficult to count the number of actual blooms without actually being there to see the flower or not waiting until it pollinates.

Whereas I have not grown Sicilian Saucer seeing these blooms pushes me to grow this particular variety next season.

Thanks for thee input ya'll. I counted the ribs on the back of the blossom going down the stems and there are elleven ribs. Some say you can tell that way but we'll wait to see. Just found another that I thought the top of the plant had been brokin off and just hanging but in reality the whole darn screwed up mess in another Freakin Huge Mega,lol...as soon as its even recognizable I'll post a pick..it'll make this one look microscopic..I said in my diary that these were volintary off a couple big tomatoes on the bottom vines that spoiled on me. I dug em up out of the ground potted them until they were about 8" tall and planted the entire plant half way in the ground for better root systems..........I think it worked, lol.

You may have come across another variety all the growers will want. How did you come by those seeds? In the family, a friend?

Got those seeds originaly from a grower on here..Conn. State I think..I'll look in my records for the attached Letter stating so. The Really big Megas have taken..I use an artist fan type medium brush for oil painting then burst them abit with compressed air from a can from office supply.

the maston is well over two lbs the marv is somewhere about a lb and a half ,very wide
