Congrats. It takes more than just luck to get one that big. What was the variety grown and was it an heirloom? Many of the tomatoes grown around the world started in Germany. Save the seeds and get ready for many seed requests.

WOW. Her big tomato was grown using the variety MegaMarv. This is an heirloom variety and so many of you have the seed already. She grew it from seed from the Meisner 5.51 which is MegaMarv. Her tomato is beautiful.

Sorry. I thought I saw in your diary a picture of the tomato that became your big one. What exactly is 4.37 Osmala? What is the history of the seed?

8/13/2013 11:47:36 AM

Tuija

Finland

4.37 Osmala (-12) was grown from 3.24 Osmala (-10) x self seed.... and 3.24 Osmala is from 7.18 Harp x self seed.
Hopefully you understand my explanation Marv....lol
