Did you know that a black light shined unto your tomato plant just after dusk will make the hornworm shine. Black light flashlights are possible for as little as $2.00 on eBay. The flashlights are also used to see the Remarque's on the new American money. Try it and you will be pleased.

The cure is to grab that hornworm with a gloved hand or a pliers or whatever method you want to use and then squeeze it till it pops or drop it in a cup of dish soap. Whatever method you use be sure it eliminates its ability to knaw or chew on your plants or on anyone's ever again!

A tuna can filled with nuts and seeds, when the birds are eating the seeds and nuts they see the hornworm, and eat it!

I like to step on them to see how far the green guts fly. It gives me a lot of pleasure seeing the guts fly out & splatter across the walking boards. LOL.

Lol Phil !
My brother picks them off and tosses them on the street and watches the cars run them over.
They can be very tough to spot. I always check the ground below the plant to look for their massive droppings, then I start to look for them.

BTK, is a sure fire spray to use on them and organic too. But look at them close ,before you squash them .If you see any white seed like pods on them ,let them live . because those are eggs from a parasitic wasp. Which will eat them from the inside out. And go on to do it again and again......Terry
