Leaves turning white ????
Can some one help me ?
Young plants, about 8" high.

The most common cause of leaves turning white in young tomato transplants is due to intense sunlight. Tomato plants require full sunlight for optimal growth, but going directly from the inside environment to the outdoor setting can shock the plant and damage the tender leaves.

Even if you attempted to harden them off for a few days a stretch of very warm sunny weather can cause this to occur.

Shading the plants at this point is what's needed in order to halt the issue and reverse it's course.

I agree totally with PA _J, i had the same thing happen a few weeks back after i put all my plants out in a hoop house. I was concerned that i may loose them, but the pulled out of it with new growth. They are doing great now.
