If someone could help me with a problem with my tomatoes, I would greatly appreciate. I have tomato plants in my backyard that have leaf curl. I don't see yellowing as of yet. Our association had a company Green T spray a weed killer a month ago and two weeks ago, were here broadcasting a granular. I am on a no spray list due to health issues, but caught the employee in my yard. He said the granular was an herbicide. The day was windy as well. Our weather has been hot/humid and then very cool/damp lately. I noticed aphids and white flies were attacking these plants only in the back yard. I tried a solution spray of Bonide Malathion since nothing else seemed to be doing much with the aphids and white flies. I have been using Wow Wallace plant and soil booster, seaweed (granular) and Biomin Liquid Calcium once a week. My back tomatoes are out in mostly direct sun and wind near my alley. The same plants are also in the front yard under the patio without these issues. Please help!

Need to post some pictures.
Some leaf curl can be due to heavy feeding and extream pruning and this is usually because the leaf is getting thicker and then causes them to curl!!! This is actually a good sign because you are forcing more energy to the leaves and tomato.
But post some pictures so we can see what is going on.

Pictures will be big help. Is the curling up or is it down? Is it on the whole plant or just part of it? Is it just leaves are are the vines curling also?

You can get suckers growing on you leaf stems too when you do enough extream pruning and feeding.

With the genetics we are growing and the extreme growing techniques we will see new things every year. The challenge will be to pick the qualities to cross for. Good luck chris with that Portuguese Monster x 6.51 Meisner Delicious. Last year I grew his Bigzarro(Portiiguese Monster). They plant won the pruning battle. Suckers from everywhere. I finally gave up and grew a huge bush

Still waiting for Biddygoat pictures...

More pics have been posted and await approval. I do already have pics that I stated from the backyard in the biddygoat diary showing the leaf curl. Some are right around the 20th. Maybe the new pics will post tonight.

I scrolled back to look at the pictures from 20th. Hard to see with my Iphone screen but that looks like curl up. That is the direction you want them to go. As wixom stated heavy fertilizing and pruning will cause this. They don't look pretty but can grow really big tomatoes. Hopefully I can see better in the next pictures.

Growing in a pot like that may be adding heat stress if not watered and fed proporly

All by biggest tomatoes have had leaf curl. I'm thinking its from pushing all the ferts. Go back and look at Master P's diary when he grew the 8 pounders,, the plants were all curled up.

Are you coming out of retirement soon Dan?:)

I now see your new pictures and you may have had a weed killer mist drift over to your tomato plants. The leaf curl that we have been talking about are usually on older and larger leaves. You have it at the tops of the plant and leaves look under developed !!! If it was weed killer it may not kill your plants but they will probably have poor production and growth.
