With just over a day left to grow the final weights are starting to come in. I see Seamsfaster has weighed at .55 pounds and also TnOrange at .46
Current standing right now: Dan S 3.06, bnot 2.65, WeirdWint 1.63, Pumpkinman Dan 1.31, Virtual Veggies 1.2, Farmer Brown .70, Seamsfaster .55, TnOrange .46
Eight growers to the scale so far. Between now and contest winner announcement, let me know if I am missing anyones weight.

You were so close to ten pounds Qtip...1.78 pounds. Congrats on your first hydro tomato. You needed a few more days...it looks like it still should have been gaining weight.
New standings: Dan S 3.06, bnot 2.65, Qtip 1.78, Weird Wint 1.63, Pumpkinman Dan 1.31, Virtual Veggies 1.2, Farmer Brown .70, Seamsfaster .55 and TnOrange .46

Good job Qtip. You dug deep into the ear canal of victory. I still have one to weigh though... I'm allowed to weigh at 12 o'clock tonight right? lol

11:59 pm...at 12 am it will be the 21st too late
wondering who else has yet to weigh..I know wyecomber had sets earlier. Farmer brown still could have another one going. I will wait until tomorrow to post final results. That will give a chance for the growers whose diary entries don't immediately show up to appear.

if I had to guess it probably has a radius of 3.5" not sure what that would equate to. but no BER on this one!

i just saw Farmer Browns diary..he has nothing bigger so that just leaves Wycomber and whatever Weird Wint has unless I am missing someone. It has been the best winter season ever...9 growers with weights. Can we get one more to start the top ten average?

I just checked..I didn't see any late entries so the final results for the 2017/2018 BigPumpkin Indoor Grow Tomato Challenge is :
Dan S 3.06, bnot 2.65, Qtip 1.78, Weird Wint 1.63, Pumpkinman Dan 1.31, Virtual Veggies 1.2, Farmer Brown .70, Seamsfaster .55 and TnOrange .46
Congratulations to everyone..I believe that 8 of the 9 growers that finished with a tomato grew either their first indoor tomato or beat their previous indoor PB. 8 of 9 PB's...we are getting better.

I enjoyed watching this. Literally everything I've done was probably wrong, but I got motivated and started seed in Jan and have this going now:
http://www.bigpumpkins.com/Diary/DiaryViewOne.asp?eid=287220
Didn't have any giant seed so I grew my usual Cherokee Purple. Had a double blossom on first truss so I tried my first hand pollination.
It seems to be taking forever to add size. I'm putting 0-6-0 on it now. Using 50W red/blue grow light. My question is what SHOULD I be doing right now? Longer light time? Different fertilizer? Pulling all the extra blossoms off the plant? Sorry guys, I'm a newbie.

Very great job setting a tomato under 50 watts. I tend to run about 15 hours of light all the time. I am not sure what the best light/dark ratio is. Next winter might have to try a shorter day cycle...mine turn red much too fast. For fertilizer I would suggest moving towards something that has more potassium. Picking the extra blossoms off should increase what the plant can send to your set. Blossom End Rot is an issue almost all the winter growers were fighting this year. My last one I didn't have BER. I was trying a very gentle pruning routine combined with very high calcium. I also dropped my phosphorus ratios on it way down since it can restrict calcium. Best advice...just keep trying to keep the tomato growing...making your best guesses and observing how the plant responds. Indoor growing is much more difficult than outdoor. We are all still learning.

Thanks for the advice bnot. Moved to potash yesterday and am at 4.75". I've been running around 12 hours of light but it also is in a white bathroom with evening sun. I'll let ya know what I end up with.
