Of course I am going for personal best. I have about ten plants that are abour equivalent. Because of winter grow I am good at getting the supermegas. I need to get to the next stage and get these to grow. This year I am trying dry soil to sink roots followed by heavy microbiology. I grow for fun. Enough years, I will find the right combination. i give myself 5% chance of someday holding the wr.

I am a newbie with compost teas. I have looked at many websites to try to gain some knowledge. Basically, need four items to get good tea:
water, air, microbiology source, and food
For the batch I have brewing now...using 55 gallon drum that was aerated for hours to get rid of the chlorine, I am using a big airpump..recommended is .08 cfm per gallon capacity.

For microbiology I used what I had available: earthworm castings, alaskan humus and insect frass

Food for this batch is also what I had available: kelp, alfalfa meal, and molasses with yucca extract. This should be good for bacterial counts.

Next batch will be a bit more complicated. Planning to push the fungal numbers. This will involve making a mixture and letting it sit for 3 days to allow the slower growing fungal organisms to multiple. Fungal microbiology is slower growing but can eat more complex foods.

John Evans really showed the potential with microbiology. I have read what I can find. Still much for me to learn.

My Tea was either "Terp tea grow" or "terp tea bloom". I think it was one scoop per gallon and I made one five gallon bucket every week sometimes every two weeks when I got behind schedule. I also used Bu's Best compost bags from Amazon.com which has stinging nettle extract in it which is good for enlarging fruit. I let the "tea" bubble for 24 hours on my really hot front porch. ive heard of molasses being beneficial but I have not tried it.

I need to look up stinging nettle extract..that is compost tea ingredient I havent heard about before. I think you might be right Chris with “tea is the key”.
