Is there an easy way to harvest and save tomato seeds?

Oxiclean method prolly the easiest...although I swear I don’t get as many keeper seeds w that method...old fashion fermenting way is the funnest..kinda stinky at first but a lot like panning for gold ...

I use the Oxiclean method. Google "using Oxiclean to get tomato seeds".
It works for me. Make sure to use a metal colander small enough where the seeds don't fall through. Use a rubber spatula to rinse and press out the meat. I spread the seeds over a plate in a single layer to dry for a couple of weeks.
Fermenting is a good way but when you have a lot of tomatoes being harvested at once it can get messy and sticky.

in know that you've recently harvested your tomato - I'd also wait until it's fully ripe before harvesting to get the best seeds

The post is a few entries long, but it basically describes the oxiclean method.

Using this method, I run about 90% germination rate.

Used Oxyclean method on my ZacHeart.
Cleaned them last Sunday.
Test germinated in a bowl of water on Thursday,showing a root today.
7 days.

So I tried the Oxyclean method and it was fairly easy and straight forward. Now just need to make sure they will germinate.
