I had to go check my refrigerator and see if it was still there...are they twins?

Counting your damaged last year we had 3 over 5 pounds. Keep this one sound..it looks young enough to get there. Still wondering what Qtip, Bill Foss, Scott Steil, and Dan MacCoy have growing. Could be a very good competition..can't wait.

26 inch circumference is still a possibility with my Karkos 5.63 or Loafer tomato. Rain has made finishing my greenhouse difficult.

I have one in the green house that could possibly get to 26. With the highs in the 50's and lows in the mid 30's I hope I can just keep it from freezing. I built an insulated hut around it to try to keep it on the vine as long as possible. It measures about the same as the one in the fridge. Hopefully one can go to Anoka.

Last year Chris Brown was the only one to bring a tomato into Anoka. I should get ahold of Tony and let him know I will bring my scale in for his weighoff. I know Anoka focuses on pumpkin...after all they are the "halloween capital" of the world, but if they have the gpc tomato ribbons and my scale, a few extra spectators cant hurt.

Yep anoka is a gpc premium event so there is first place ribbions for gpc catagories. We would like to see some big pumpkins and field pumpkins however. Bring along a carved pumpkin for the adult carving contest as well....maybe a scarecrow too!

Thanks Tony for the quick response. If you are making it a weekend of weighoffs in the minneapolis, the weekend of Oct 6th and 7th is great.Last year in his first year..Tony put together a great show. I will have my scale there..just in case it is needed. Unless Tony disagrees...I will put up $50 for the biggest tomato at Anoka. I think my second best can beat your second best Larry :)

Larry...don't reveal more...i am guessing i am .25 ahead now...or maybe way behind or way ahead. It is cool how 5 and 6 corners look the same on the a digital readout. We will find out the real numbers in 2 1/2 weeks. We need to keep some suspense going. All i can say...It looks to me like for first or second, you need to be over 5.

hmmm...28 inches...i think I could take a picture where a 3 pounder would look like a potential 7 pounder. 8 segment displays...I love them. Is this late September weather not sucking qtip...I am being flooded for the past two days...how is it in your area.

Q tip, 28 inches isn't good enough, if it's as flat as a pancake.

Bob, I think everyone figured out it was 5 or 6. Or maybe there is a lead sinker behind the tomato. Probably something Q tip would do.

I think he is pushing back the measuring tape behind his tomato with his fingers to make it look bigger.

Wow you have big hands qtip. Hope to see that one at Gale Woods or Stillwater. I suspect you have a backup hiding out somewhere.

Big hands small ball, guess you can't believe anything you see. I guess we will just have to go to Gale Woods. Should be fun.
