It sounds like getting this Mn K Ca combo right is somewhat easy and gives good results. Try applying chelated manganese when using manure/compost/wood ash (because these natural materials will come with a large quantity of potassium). I think this is the main thing I’ve ever done right. See if this works for you.

I don’t know what he means specifically by ‘organic chelated manganese is better than chemical’ but apparently it can be chelated by citric, fulvic or amino acids. I’ll probably stick with the blue fertilizer for now, but I don’t doubt there are better alternatives.
