Thanks to all you guys. I’m just like you, trying to grow the largest tomato I can. Always have dreamed of growing a big one like MacCoy, Wixom, and yes, even Porkchop. We are an odd group you know, garden misfits, trying to grow giant tomatoes. Don’t fit in with coworkers or the general public. We can all come together here and that I’m happy for. I’m not real big on the attention, otherwise the guess the weight contest. I may never grow another big tomato like this again and didn’t do anything special or unusual. Any of you can do it. The plant grew in the right place at the right time.

It has been raining for the first time since May. Timed watering every day, but now has rained all day and evening. Don’t know what I’ll find in the AM. Either way when it’s all said and done I want to get together with all of you in one place and party!

I did a Wikipedia on Q-Tip.: A historical giant tomato grower that grew a 7.07 back up in the day. “Quite the character “ they say, but backed off due to family obligations. Good choice.

I weighed a 7.64. My PB best. It looked and measured larger than any tomato I ever grew. Hats off to all giant tomato growers. Keep learning from others and may your next tomato be your personal best.
