Thank you tomato heads! I have been enjoying this tomato thing this year a lot.. it has been a good replacement to soothe ones gardening passion when poor spring weather and critters can wipe out the pumpkin season in a hurry. If a deer or wood chuck mauls a young pumpkin plant you are out of the game. A tomato plant can respond and you can still end up with something good. You can easily fence a tomato plant, you spend less on ferts, you don't need a team of friends or tractor to lift one out of the garden and they do change rapidly so there is plenty of fun pruning and watching them grow. I am not giving up on Pumpkin and Squash but it has taken a back seat this year. I have had the pleasure to be on Team Slammer so the TOMANCE with Chop and Esheel has made for an awesome summer and the candor and competition of the Tomato Challenge has been top notch with quite a few chuckles along the way, and to think the Best is yet to come.
