hmmmm....what happened...of the last 8 diary entries of his...all I recall from reading them was he had 5.95 domingo x 6.23 megazac cross completed this year. Look at the varieties at the top of the GPC tomato weighoff results this year....New wixom cross...I am so interested. His crosses have so shook up the tomato world. I have no doubt wixom...your super big year is soon coming.What are you going to call the 5.95x6.23? It is 50% domingo, 25% mega marv,25% big zac......

Yeah i was looking forward to taking it to a michigan weighoff never grew one this big so late in the season before. My entire season was a disaster except this last one. No biggie i just wont have one on the gpc list this year.

This is a tough one wixom....using part of the name of one variety and part of the name from the second variety worked for the first crosses. The cross of the crosses becomes more difficult.... MegamuttD and MegamuttZ was the first solution. What do you call the ancester of the WR (domingo) x a cross of the megamarv and big zac. Come on tomato growers...you are very creative...toss out some ideas for wixom to name his new baby.

I think that spudder was suggesting "Big Megadom" to show that it is a megadom with big zac in it. I think that would lead to variety confusion though. Some growers would forget the big part on the gpc form.
Do you have the weight of the new cross tomato? If you wish, I will enter it into the tomato data base so the genetics can be tracked thru time. I now you dont like that task. I think I entered the 1.20 Konieczny 2016 in there to connect the genetics of the Megazac.

You should probably decide the variety name before its gets entered though.
