What is the safe/preferred way of getting rid of powdery mildew?

For me it’s prevention more that treatment. Keep air circulation better by planting plants farther apart in the beginning so they can dry out. Cut off lower old leaves. Most of all, don’t overhead water. Ever since I started using drip irrigation I haven’t had it since. Also, if you get ahold of Lithovit, use it. A finely milled calcium carbonate. Contains silicon that prevents powdery mildew. The spores have a hard time penetrating the surface of the leaf. I especially apply late August forward when evenings cool and dew forms.

I have used Daconil and Eagle on my pumpkins, but didn't
think they were safe on tomatoes I eat (now,I'm thinking
you probably thought I was growing for weight, and not
eating)
Am I correct?

daconil is labeled for edible vegetables but I don’t think eagle is outside of fruit trees.
