I'm thinking something like this.

Well it looks like we have to thank porkchop for introducing us to the Domingo tomato. I know i was desperatly looking for new verieties back in 2015 because i couldn't grow the bigzac !!! Then i saw porkchop having success with the Domingo so i gave it a try and i have been growing it ever since.

Wow Scott... hey I think you made one error though... 'Clayton' should not be on that chart with all those respectable tomato growers...???
Porkchops 8.22 was a great plant for me and I lost a possible 6 lber to BER after accidentally leaving the water running. Glad it showed its true colors for Jack. ...Hadnt realized this, wow, thx.

Hopefully I can finish the Big Zac this weekend. It's not as straight forward as the Domingo was. There could be some errors in the charts I had to make some decision on what was a typo error and what the real tomatoe was called. Quite a few 5's And 9's that became 8 and such. It's so so so... much more messy than the pumpkins. Ugh!

Im curious about the Hill lineage. Going through my seed collection right now.
If I ever grow an amazing tomato then hit me up for some seeds.
Good luck this year Scott. It will take a bit more than just luck though.

8.07 Daho...? Just throwing it out there. I'm way too unfocused to figure it all out.

I remember Hill 5.175 came from 8.41 McCoy. Larry Hill grew 3 tomatoes greater than 6 pounds from the 5.175. 7.66 was his biggest.

All shall be revealed soon.
I will definitely beg for seeds when you grow that monster. I think the Daho was one of my pain in the ass seeds with no documentation that I finally figured out this week.

Acording to SaladDoug the 8.07 Daho is a megamarv

The 8.07 Daho came from the 4.22 Daho witch was a megamarv.

Ya I got it figured out more or less. The stuff before 2009-5 is spotty. The gpa weigh off sheets are very devoid of info :/

The Daho originated from a cross of megamarve and another unknown seed that was grown for flavor, shape and vigor of plant growth.

I say unknown because I can't find the linage of it. I'll post the name when I get home. It's like 5.05 faulk or something from 2005.

The Daho is one of the few outliers that didn't grow from the main dom or big zac origin tomatoes

I just picked up Daho seeds tonight. I am wondering if it might be a mega marv delicious cross. I grew the 6.83 Fulk 2015 in 2016. It was delicious variety. He was one of the few Delicious growers left then. In 2005, Delicious was still top of the world. I think it would be cool if in addition to the Megazac and Megadom..we could have the MegaDel as an alternative. I hope these Daho seeds sprout..

The 5.05 fulk has been mislabled as delicious variety because in the grower diary they say the tomato is Delicious as in tastes good not the variety.

The 7.33 hunt is the biggest and only Delicious I have in the genetics list

i believe the 6.83 Fulk 2015 was delicious. That was back when Marv would spend hours verifying and correcting the varieties on the weighoff results page. I had written for lineage of the 6.83.

6.83-4.62-6.51-7.33-5.0

if the daho cross involved a tomato from 2005, that is pre Big Zac.

I do not know if anyone here would have more knowledge of Paul Fulk from Hazelton Pa

In the bp thread I posted...marv sent me a package of one of those crosses he made pre 2016 about two years ago. I did not have a chance to grow it yet. It is buried in my seeds. I hope I can find it before spring. I can't remember which one it was.

Re: Daho 8.07

The cross (5.51 MegaMarv 2011 X 5.05 Fulk 2005) was a cross of two MegaMarvs if my memory of previous seed history is correct.

I did do some crosses with the 8.07 Daho but not grown them out the saved F1 seeds.

8.07 x 9.65 Porkchop (MegaMarv x Domingo cross)
8.07 x 7.66 Hill (MegaMarv x BZ cross)
8.07 x 6.11 Smith (MegaMarv x Delicious cross)

I have tried to email Mehdi. Hopefully he will respond. I would be interested in your 8.07 x 6.11 smith cross. I will have the 8.36 strickler megadom and the 7.73 menting megazac in my garden this summer. A megadel or whatever you name it would round it out. I will also have the 8.01 Karkos big marley, my delbrut, and maybe some other crosses.

If you cant tell, i like the crosses..every year, they have been my biggest.

Scott is right.

8.07lb 2018
4.22lb 2017
3.52lb 2016 which is 5.51 MegaMarv 2011 x 5.05 Fulk 2005

That 5.51 was extremely aggressive and huge. 5.05 was producing very Nice shaped fruits and very tasty. So I crossed them in the hope to get all advantages in one.
That 4.22 plant was a good result : delicious and VERY aggressive. I kept thinking if I could get a megabloom of it, it may produce a monster. And finally, in 2018, one of the 4.22 threw a promising megabloom. ( check my diary to see photos) and grew the 8.07lb
SaladDoug grew a couple of 8.07 and 4.22 and had a super aggressive huge plant of it again but unfortunately no big megabloom. The power of that seed is really incredible. Just need a bit of luck to get a great megabloom and produce a true monster. Check SaladDoug diary to see that plant. I m growing about 700 tomato plants each year but not concentrate for a record. I m still selecting the best shape/taste/productivity/ vigor plant and save seeds every year for the following year. It s better and better every year. This last season we had a really nice amount of big/beautifull/tasty tomatoes.

thanks Mehdi. That still doesn't identify the variety of the 5.05 Fulk 2005. Cecil Weston shows in his diary growing the 5.05 Fulk for his first tomato...I wonder if he because confused and actually was growing the 5.05 Reinhard 2015 then. Cecil and Tyler were in the same general area at the time. I havent seen Cecil for many years.

Mehdi, I have seen the pictures of your grow area...that is so impressive. I am hoping to get up to 100 plants. That would be a full time job even then. I have noticed that aggressive plant tendency on all the megamarv-crosses. So much larger plants. Good luck next year...hope you will keep us informed of your progress.

Hi, larry, longtime no see. Are you growing in 2022? Chris B is thinking to put a bit more emphasis on tomatoes than normal weighoffs for the Nowthen Heritage Festival. Probably will not be quite as much as Gale Woods, but I would love a rematch with you.

You caught me wixom...actually, i spent 1/2 the night at auction, then I had 2 hours of sleep. Then I woke and started working on the grow room. And chatted to Europe...they were not night. Shortly the grow store will be open..and I can go get some supplies. I will let everyone else get their words in. By the way..I talked pumpkins also. :)
