Well….this sucks. Here we are, a few days before the draft, usually a pretty fun time, and I’m sitting here missing my buddy. Zeke really loved being a part of this contest. The team competition , the tomato challenge, the draft contest, who knows how many different names we’ve tried to come up with for this contest over the years. It’s a no-brainer for me that from here forward we will call our contest “ THE Zeke Demars Tomato Team Challenge”. I wouldn’t have it any other way. Zeke did so much to keep all the tabs on numbers, year to year pb’s, team tallies, and overall keeping us informed and excited, especially when nearing seasons end and teams scratching and clawing for every extra ounce for their team totals. I’ve been in this hobby for awhile now and have met many people who go above and beyond to help a fellow grower and Zeke was no exception. He always had kind words of encouragement , always willing to share a laugh, and, well, just there to be a great friend. I will miss him dearly but the show must go on.

A nice touch Porkchop, Mike was always enthusiastic when it came to contribute to the competition, and keeping everyone upto date with the latest and greatest on the scoreboard.

I’ve teamed up with a secret CIA operative. We’ve been scouring the journals and GPC board. We found your results. Drawing up a white board now to post weekly photos as the results come in.May do video updates. But please post your results or if you hear of others fruits that don’t post here. Numbers don’t come rolling in at a good pace until the fairs start. I am seeing some good pic’s lately and have heard of quite a few Slammers out there. Should be a good year.
