Not as bad where I live,Stop it before it starts sprays(fungicides) etc.You can mix Baking soda 1/4 cup to 1 gallon water spray leaves top & bottom only do this when cooler, not in hot sun, mourning best 7.am let set 10 minutes then rinse leaves this will greatly reduce but not totaly eliminate.Aphids mostly.I dont spray melons as much as Kins.I dont think they need it.

Lopes- treat like pumpkins, cuke beetles love them. Powdery mildew can be a problem, its usually worse on late plants.
For me, bugs don't seem te be to bad on melons especially if lopes & pumpkins are near by. DON'T USE SEVEN on melons (too tricky). Most of the other pests(fungus) are similar. Watch out for anthracnose.

Seems to me lopes aren't as weak as pumpkins, but not as tough as watermelons. Same problems. mildew, squash bugs, cuke beetles, etc.
