Ok, i know they eat the growing tips. Do they eat anything else on the plant ? the main vine ? fruit ? I'm wondering if i protect the plant till it reaches size, then can i open it up & put the bunnies to work keeping it trimed.

Rats like the fruit. But ussually most of the problem is when they get close to ripe. The smell of ripening draws them in. Chris you may have to get you a younger beagle.

When those lopes ripen you better put the Beagle next to patch
