44 Was the best plant I have had at this point. Three big storms in the last five days really roughed it up.

My 45 webbs have done really well. The biggest one has a cuople 20lber on it, but this morning I discovered the stump foaming, so I played doctor this afternoon.

Todd,Where you having to water it alot to stop flagging in the heat?

I did Jake, but none of the others flag, so not sure if the stump has been bad for a while and that was causing the flagging, and the extra water made it a lot worst.

Your probably right. The wind put a crack in my 55 James and it seems to flag more than others. I kept my melons alive last year for about 60 days after the foaming. Drilled a hole in the bottom of the stump and the spot where it was foaming and then pushed captan through it. Then put a small battery powdered fan on it. I think it would keep it alive long enough to finish the lopes.

If you do use captan don't eat em.

Yeah, I put a lot of captan, and didn't know not to eat them. Thanks for the heads up.

I asked the eat or not question last year and other growers said no. I didn't risk it. Hope it holds in there for you
