wondering if down the road the 50 and 60 plus pounders will be small? it wasnt that long ago when a couple hundred pound pumpkin was huge. something to think on. TT

i hope so i tryed growing a pumpkin but dont have the space it was hard not to start one this year, id even give up a few tomato plants to be able to fit one ,but melons i have room for lol and a 100 pounder is not far away !!! pizza

I think so there has been alot of intrest in the last year. Lot more good seeds avalible and more people growing them. More people making controlled crosses.

I'm guessin so..TT, the world of Lopes has now been OPENED!!! Will bet that 100# lope will be grown w/in the next two (not this one) seasons!!! 2011 is the year of the NEW Genetic Cross!!! 2012 is the 90#er, and 2012 will make folks get a "LIL BIT" interested in the possibility of the 100#er!!! That is unless PknHeadVic, don't grow a 100#er this year!!!! LOL Serious...Peace, Wayne I base this theory, on the way that Melons have exploded, in weight...since the melon info was shared on this incredible site!!!! Lopes are only two years behind!!! Grow em BIG!!!
