How long do cantaloupes grow until they are ripe? How do you tell that they are ripe? Also how many cantaloupes can one plant support?

About 45 days .. When they start to turn yellow they are pretty much finished from this point on they will go down fast.. The debate goes on check out the thread on the watermelon page titled one or more .its up to you but if you want to make sure that another lope is not takeing away from your selected lope only leave 1 on the plant!
