I think people are losing interest in lopes, harder to keep alive!

I've got a 52.6 Burns, not doing much yet, probably waiting for warmer weather before it starts going.

Brotherdave......I've got 69 Plants growing like gangbusters....All doing superb. I've got a pic in my diary and I'll have some new ones posted this next week. I've already pinched back about a million bloomes but after this next week I'm lettin em ride....The seeds came out a lope I grew last yr that weighed 27 lbs nothin great but there were three of them that size on the same vine. The vines on these plants are compatible with the secondaries on the kin plants.

that's too bad about the weigh off, my plants are blooming good and was hoping to set one for Frankfort next week. Last year nothing set until july 31. With only four or five growers showing up each it's hard to make a go of it! Maybe I'll head down to Arkansas!

Can't you get a certified scale at say, a police department or grocer to weigh your lope and get some witness signature and photos or am I going out on that limb too far. I and others may not be able to get to such a weigh off and it would be a shame to have a winner and not have it documented because someone decided not to have a weigh off..not being judgemental just realistic curiosity maybe....

Sure you can Joseph. With the correct scale and witnesses you could have a new PB or state record or WR. Document everything if you think it is more than a PB. The hard part is getting one of these timed to get to a weigh-off.

Glad to see there is still intrest in lopes.
