I was wondering if you guys start your seeds indoors and if you do , how many weeks before last frost date do you start them .

I do start indoors but not until after last frost. They grow and mature much faster than AG's or watermelons. About 90 days from seed to fruit.

I wait until it is good and warm, which is first May for me. I start them about a week and a half before planting. They take off faster if the are transplanted quickly.

Dave is correct plan for 90 days, but Northern growers may find one that decides to keep going. Cooler the fruit temp=longer growth. Hot temps= fast growth. Timing vs. climate is very important to get bigones.
