I see time from seed to fruit, but would like to know how many days I need to figure from when it is pollinated until the fruit is ripe? Also only 1 per plant or how many should I let grow on a plant to get a big one? thanks

You can pollinate several then as the summer moves on cull the weak ones. When completely ripe you'll know. They detach themselves from the vine. You'll smellem too.

Yes one per plant. Your first one closest to the stump will be your biggest i"ve seen this many times. They will not detach themselves from the vine. You will be losing weight if you let them go that long!! Eating varieties will do this not the giants.
