I was just wondering what the tallest stalk of corn you have grown and what kind of corn it came from?
My tallest is 16.5 Feet grown from the Hickory King variety. That was six years ago. My tallest since moving to Morristown is 12.5 feet from the Hickory King seed.

I have gotten a couple 16'. Most are around 14'. I use Mexican June white corn. I bought some years ago from P&P seed. I save my tallest and plant them the following year.

I have seen corn from the Hickory King variety get over 24 feet!! A small gardener grew it where I used to live, thats how I found out about it.

I would like to try it. If you want to swap corn let me know. Maybe they will cross pollinate.

In 1995 i grew 30 Tall Corn plants that averaged between 14ft & 18ft. The variety was called Java Valley, which was one of the most common varieties to use for growing Tall Corn. A Giant Pumpkin & Tall Corn Grower named Fred Muerman gave me the Seeds that i used, also another GP Grower named Tom Tweite was involved with Growing Tall Corn. I do not know if Fred & Tom are still involved with Growing Giants or not but Tom owned a Country Store called Tweites Country Fresh. I cannot recall in what part of the USA Fred & Tom live, they may even visit this Website. Norm Craven is also a very knowledgable Grower of Tall Corn, if anyone has a current contact for him it may well be worth having a chat with him.
Just my 10 pence worth Regards Mike
