I am growing Russian Giant sunflowers...just store bought seeds. Seed pack didn't mention Diane or sumpin or other, just said Russian Giant. I wonder what I might have. Plants are approx 8' tall, flowers just starting to form. Look very healthy. I would be interested in some seeds this fall. Peace Wayne

Nu-B to giant sunflowers, but have one that is ready to break the plant. How long from starting or from flowering does it take for seeds to become viable to grow the next year? Need quick responses if possible!!! Plant ready to snap and church picnic tomorrow! Approx 10 days since flower opened and is now ready to snap plant in half. If seeds are not ok to grow next year then I will try to prop it up...if seeds from this will sprout, then I will amaze people tomorrow and grow them next year. Plant is approx. 12' tall and seed head is approx. 20" across. Grown from store bought seeds...Russian Giant.....need to know by 2 pm tomorrow...thanks...Peace Wayne
