Can anyone give me any advice on how to grow tall corn? I'm looking at growing Jala or Mexican corn.

It'll be grown right next to the real stuff too. My dad's a farmer.

Lots of fertilizer and adequate water. Organic fertilizer. Fish is best if you don't have trouble with cats and coons digging it up. And a sunny spot. Many, many years ago I planted some regular Indian corn on a spot where we had bruied fish heads and guts for a couple of years. I planted it thick kept it weeded and watered. My Dad said it was planted too thick, but it surprised him. Some of that corn got nearly 15' tall. Some had the bottom ears over 8' off the ground.

How far in the ground do you plant it and how far apart should the corn be?
