How long does the giant sunflower bloom take to mature after it starts blooming.

Mine started blooming out this week and I have never grown one before. The stalk is really thick and sturdy and the bloom is about 9.5 to 10 ft high. It might be short but its a HULKy plant.

Get an old panty hose or something to protect the seeds if you want to save them.. Normally takes a couple weeks for the Giant Head.

So===it doesn't need bee action to form seeds? I don't know anything about sunflowers. What makes it form seeds?
