Hi I am in Brisbane Australia and am keen to learn how to grow Giant Sunflowers, I have a few plants growing at the moment however I don't think they are going to get too spectacular. One question, once the flower head has formed does the plant stop growing tall or will it continue? My biggest plant is hitting 3 metres (9 feet ten inches) at 64 days. the flower is probably 3 inches across will it keep growing? The Australian record is 5 metres.

I was wondering does any one have any giant seeds to trade or sell? I'm happy to pay for some good genetics. We are pretty limited in Australia.

It will grow a bit more, until the head becomes large enough to bend the stalk. I have seeds from my 13'6" sunflower.

Tall sunflower seeds, at this time 12-31-13 I only have tall sunflower seeds for me to grow and a flew for the GWG (giant watermelon growers) auction's. I hope after the 2014 growing year to have some more to give out. Thanks Marvin
