Whats a good strain of sunflower for growing giant flower heads? I have some old seed Green Galiath..Diana..Russian and Gray stripe. are any of these good for lg flowers? im sure most of these are to old to still be good.also any Dwarf strains out there growing big flowers?THANKS Treetop

Hey Treetop,
Those are all good strains to grow giant heads.
Take those seeds and grow a few different varieties
together and they will cross pollinate usually resulting in stronger seed. Save the seed from the middle of the flower as they have always worked best for me.

Sunflower seeds seem to keep quite well. I recently grew some dating from 1997.

If you send a stamped bubble I have a few that I can send from a 24" head that are Russian gray stripe.
