Hi, just interested to know if Sunflowers and Pumpkins are a companion plant, as in do they like to grow near each other?

I was thinking of planting sunflowers all around the outside of my patch apart from where i enter to feed and water the pumpkin.

So if anyone knows if this is a good idea or a bad idea, any information would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers.

We use sunflowers as a wind break. They do create some shade.
