I just stumbled across this article that talks about how sunflowers have an allopathic affect on other plants (ie similar to walnut trees (?))

I've always grown tall sunflowers at the border of my AG patch, but maybe that is not a good idea?

Anyone else heard of this?

Yep. Didn't bother the pumpkins at all but killed all my tomatoes.

iv grown in my patch never seen a problem.but my sunflowers do better alone the house. maybe just me. treetop
