Eddy didn't mix anything up, but apparently customs did.

I sent about 200 seeds to Grace Lusty in Hamilton. If anyone received seeds they didn't ask for, they probably belong to Grace. She distributes them to schools who have gardening programs.

Hi New Zealand growers, just asking did anyone get a 2145 Mc McMullen or 1770 Lieber seed that was not ordered.. We seem too think that some of the Australian seeds might have been forwarded to New Zealand by Customs by mistake?... If anyone does have the 2145 McMullen or 1770 Lieber seed and it was wrongly sent too them, then could they please post it too Shane Newitt at 100 Nugent road, Sorell 7172, Tasmania, Australia.. Cheers Speedy

i know it is not eddie's fault, but i just contacted aus post, and gave them all the tracking numbers that eddie listed, and 6 out of the ten had no record, and the others where sent to new zealand. i wonder did they all go to n.z.

As far as I am aware only the nz seeds turned up in nz. I ordered 26 seeds and got 5 that I ordered and the rest were random seeds. I contacted all the nz growers and tracked down 6 more of my seeds but the rest are missing action. The random seeds I got I forwarded them on to another grower (Gareth Lusty) as he was missing alot! The 2145 and 1770 was not among the seeds I got sorry.
There was only 4 nz growers that got seeds also.
Good luck!

Speedy, Barramundi, out of the 10 packages I sent, 4 went to New Zealand, 5 to Australia and 1 to Tasmania.
New Zealand has theirs and that is because we refined the process last year. Australia and Tasmania are both new to the process and we are working through it. As far as the where about, well they are in Sydney and with customs.
As far as having seeds sent from New Zealand to Australia, it won't happen without paper work.
Please let the process take place, The more pressure you put on the customs people the longer this will take and then I will get notification the bubbles are coming back to me and they will do that without question and then we will have to redue the whole process.

Hi Eddy, thanks mate for the further update with the packages etc.. I understand that we should not bother customs and just let it unfold.. Hopefully like you say once it works for the first year then the following year might run smoother? cheers Speedy..

yeh, thanks guy's for the info. it just seems over the last couple of years that it depends on who you talk to at customs, as to what answer you get, and after you get put from one section to another over again, and told different stories it is a bit puzzling; we are just getting a bit keen, because we will be starting seeds in a couple of weeks. thank you again eddie, your efforts are really appreciated; regards-garry.
