In addition to my competitive aspirations, I grow Phat Jack and cinderellas for sale at a garden stand at the end of my driveway. Im curious what others with similar setups are charging customers for larger Phat Jacks as well as cinderella variety pumpkins?

Cinderella we would get $8 a piece an were always sold out.
One to Many, Red Warty Thing, And Jarradale sold good to...Grow what the usual pumpkin places dont grow and make your own niche. I miss growing them and am looking for acreage

I find the trick is to never have to many of something out...always be down to the last two..Impulse buying :)

I get 2-3 dollars for pie size, $5 for stuff around volleyball-soccerball size, $10 for stuff that ranges twice that size, and I do put $15-20 for large Howden Biggies, that are 30-60 lb range. Going rate varies from 35-55 cents a pound i would guess. I just dont care to weigh them all or have scale set up, so I place them in simular size bunches with a price sign in the middle of each group, self serve. I differ in that i tried to get everything out as I could to make a more impressive statement, more to choose from. I had some of my giants there to draw attention, some long gourds, etc. picts on my diary.

I had 5 field pumpkins between 65-75 pounds that I took to cooperstown (weighed the heaviest one only). A buyer spotted them in the back of my truck and I ended up selling 5 for $80.

Just a small note -- be sure to check your local laws and make sure you get any permits you may need before selling them as some areas have pretty hefty fines for not following local ordinances and better to be safe and include the permit fees in the pricing than find out after you get a nice big fine !

$4-5 for volleyball size ones. 3 for smaller. cinderella--$5 no problem. marketed some curvy long gourds as snake gourds and got $8 for them.

20 to 25 cents per pound is what the local road side stands sells them for.

I sell all size pumpkins for 30 cents per pound. Most of the big garden centers here are 39 to 45 cents per pound - they have many activities to draw in the crowds so I just beat them with price and selection (over 2 dozen types of pumpkins this year)
