I am new to this site, but am very interested in growing giant field pumpkins. I and my daughter have had great success with growing our own strain of extremely drought resistant and disease resistant pumpkins developed from crossing Fairy Tale, Black Futsu and other heirloom varieties. We have gotten huge crops of many pumpkins but not great size in the individual pumpkins as yet here in East Texas. We will soon post pictures and more information; please let me know about getting seeds for large field pumpkins. We have been doing pumpkin growing projects with our community for years and want to do more, including encouraging many people to develop new kinds of giant pumpkins for our local climate.
