John tells me that his longest growing pumpkin was the 181!! grown in 2012. Too hot or not??

Carl, As you know things cooled off a bit in Sept of that year and more cloud cover and rain. I do feel there is a particular threshold for Fps when it comes to heat. I have had some that grew quickly but matured quicker as well when it was hotter, as compared to a moderately warm temps. Perhaps some of the more southern growers can chime in on what they have experienced growing Fp's in hotter temp's

i'm thinking you would have been poll around the first of aug John and most of your growth would have occured during the first 35 days in the screaching heat!

I guess you will find out this summer what works best ;) I am about ready to start building an ARK with a Big furnace

ahahaa! it's a win win situation John!Just came in from outside checking some temps.10deg c and torrential rain.If they like the cooler temps it looks like this summer should produce another WR for you.lol
