97 Dill x Self

I asked Brant for some of his tomato seeds for our auction, and he was kind enough to send these seeds along. Does anyone know the story of these seeds? Why hasn't there been any talk?? I will shoot Brant an email!

Was asking around about it last week when it showed up on the North Carolina auction. I was sent a address to a newspaper that briefly mentions it about 2/3 of the way down. Seems it split badly.

Brant got back to me re: the 248 EST Timm. They only grew one FP plant in 2014, the 97 Dill. They grew 4 pumpkins on this plant and it was only 288 square feet. The 248 was on the main and the 153 was on a side vine and they were pollinated only 1 day apart. The 248 split after 2.5 inches of rain.

What I take away is that the 248 and the 97 Dill should be given serious consideration. This also has massive implications as to how many FP can be grown simultaneously on the same plant.

Richard, Its not easy to find. Go to the Howard Dill Site. Click on premium seed on side bar. At the bottom of the premium seed page is a note which has a spot to click the -- online store--.
When you get to the online store click the classic field pumpkin on the sidebar. It will give you three pages of field pumpkins. The 248 time is on the second page.
