Since my AG plant went down a couple of days ago, I went ahead and tossed a couple of FP seeds in its place. I am hoping to have pumpkins for Halloween, not necessarily for any weigh-off. That's why I was wanting to know the typical days to maturity. Trying to see if there is just enough time for Halloween. This is my first time trying the FP's. Thank you in advance.

It will be close...The commercial field pumpkin growers here direct seed June 7th-15th.

That's too bad, Pumpkin Envy, but you may be able to get something over a 100 pounds. In a previous grower diary, I remember seeing someone transplanted around mid may, and got a 125 pounder by end of July. So it can grow big in 3 months. Hope you get a nice one!

Thanks for the responses. I had looked at some past posts too. I knew it would be close. Connecticut Field pumpkins showed 120 days on a few sites I looked at. That was the reference I was using. I knew it would be real close. Don't have much to lose at this point. We'll see what we get. :)

The 120 days is to maturity. I think ideally you would want to pick it right before it is mature, as once mature the field pumpkins lose weigh fast
