Cold stress as a mechanism for deformed fruit (in tomato). Tracks with what I've been seeing for years. What we call 'seeds in the blossom' appears a week or so after a stressful temp swing.

Thanks for sharing these articles. So much interesting stuff out there, we are exposed to so little of it, if we don't run in academic circles. It is important to stay on top of all the new research coming out. I have seen lots of changes in our understanding of things since my college days in the 90's.
