Just wanted to post the top 10 here from the inaugural Monster Pumpkin Madness Weigh-Off at the Delaware Valley College Farm Market in Doylestown, PA:

8. Jon Rauch - 829 lbs.
9. Brandon Huber - 667 lbs.
10. Gus Crissman - 639.5 lbs.

A huge thank you to all who helped get this thing together - market manager Karen Campellone, the Fleming brothers Paul and Dave, the weighing crew of Jim Gerhardt, Tim Rosa, and Charlie Graydus, my wife Jenn as the awesome emcee, and anyone else I'm forgetting. We are definitely doing that again!

Congrats and thanks to Kevin Snyder for blowing everyone's mind all day with your monster, and the two youngest competitors Christian Hilstolsky and Samuel Box for taking 2nd and 3rd! Then there was the improbable 4th place tie between Tim and Jim, both grown off of the same seed! A day of surprises and 1,000 smiles (or more). Thanks also to the GPC and Andy Wolf for their support and question-answering all summer. See you next October!
