Has anyone ever grown a record bushel gourd? Largest one that I ever grown was 72lbs. I have heard of bushel gourds in excess of 200lbs. I am getting some new seed and am going to try again. Trying for 150lb+.....

Stein: I had a 195# at our show last oct. It was for display only. I belong to the OHIO VALLEY GIANT PUMPKIN GROWERS I don't know if the seeds will be any good or not,it's still trying to dry out. Raggu

Raggu, thanks for your reply. For some reason I like raising bushel gourds. I am really picky on the way I grow things and really never had some good seed to see how big I could raise a bushel gourd. I sure would like to get some seed from your 195#'r. I would be worse than a kid in a pumpkin patch! LOL! I have the ideal place to plant, just need good seed to grow BIG gourds. 'stein
