I know that bushel gourds take a long time to germinate but how long should I let them sit before giving up on them. I am doing germination tests on my 192, 167, and 152 and it has been two weeks and nothing yet. I had a set on the seed swap tonight but pulled them because I am not sure they will germinate.

4 to 10 days after a good soaking and 85 to 90 degrees. If you've got them in potting soil then its time to dig some out-if paper towel you might give them another 5 days

if you didn't soak them they could take 2-3 weeks

I just started some Bushel and African wine Kettle seeds using the paper towel method. First you need to clip edges of seeds with toe nail clippers and soak them in water for 24 hours. Then put them in damp paper towel on a heat source . not to hot though. I had roots two days later on all. THis is method that has worked for years for me. These two types of gourds are very hard to germinate and this seems to be the best way . good luck
