has anyone grown a buschell gourd on a trellis of any size thanks pizza

way to heavy unless you have a shelf to grow it on. it would break the stem if you hang it.

What he said. Plus the vine will drop tap roots if you cover them like pumpkins

This is interesting because I'm growing one this year. Plant like pumpkins to grow on the ground. It has grown up the fence all along the patch. And the leaves are huge on the fence and smaller on the ground. I really haven't seen any tap roots. I didn't bury vines but don't even see nodes trying to grow. I'm think combine on the ground and trellis next year. If on grows high up build a shelf.
